Lawrence Nicoll is a self-taught landscape and nature photographer who after holidaying for 25 years in the Maritimes and living there previously for 5, has made his permanent home in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy.

Involved in photography for over 30 years, he continually strives to improve his craft. His work is part of many personal and corporate collections, used in articles, brochures and magazines such as ‘Intrepid’, ‘SaltScapes’, and ‘Driving Magazine’, on Global Maritimes TV, as giant murals in the Fundy Geological Museum and currently creating a body of work for use by the Chignecto Park System of Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.

Having travelled across much of Canada and the US (especially the desert parks) and journeyed to the Scottish Highlands, his love of Canada’s Atlantic Provinces has now become his focus. He often finds that only a panoramic photo can do justice to many of the scenes before him, and spends a great deal of time seeking new opportunities and perfecting those images.

Always looking for new ways to “see” the beauty around him, he hopes his work will allow you to share his appreciation of the world that surrounds us.
