In his roll as the Director of Photography and Editor for Photo-Graphics Garnet McPherson is known for promoting the power of visual communication in modern culture. Garnet has decades of experience in the Visual Communication Industry as a Photographer, Graphic Designer, Producer, Director and Writer. He has extensive experience in print, display, multi media and video production. Garnet has worked for thousands of clients representing multiple sectors and spanning 17 countries and four continents. Garnet combines the art and science of message design with his talents as an image maker into a thriving career as both a commercial photographer and visual communication designer.

Garnet has contributed to the success of a number of cultural organizations. He has taught at Sheridan Collages School of Visual Arts, and served as the creative director for Insight Communications, the education director for the Media Arts Centre and the managing editor of Sustainable Living Magazine. Today while still working as a photographer and communications designer, Garnet is now also the managing editor of PHOTO-GRAPHICS where he continues to promote and teach about visual communication.
