Bryan Smith was born in Alberta, Canada in 1962 and has been a nature and wildlife photographer for over 20 years. His work has been featured in Popular Photography & Imaging, various books including "City Comforts" by David Sucher and "African Pygmy Hedgehogs, a Perfect Pet". His images of the Similkameen Valley are well known in business and tourist brochures, newspapers, news outlets such as CTV News, the Los Angeles Times, maps and magazines as well as many of the larger regional and municipal Websites in the Similkameen and Okanagan valleys.
With an intense of love of mountains he moved to the mountains of British Columbia in 1993 concentrating his photographic efforts on the Similkameen and Okanagan Valleys in the high desert southern interior of the Province.
In 2007, he relocated to Ogema Saskatchewan where he has been focusing on landscape and family photography.
In his work he seeks to expose the subtle beauty beneath the overwhelming grandeur, attempting to share with his viewers a sense of being there, experiencing the moment as it was meant to be viewed.
