I don't have a "profile". I have 30 years of acquired expertise and a broad CV outside of photography. I took a gap year from the fishing industry in the mid-90s and studied photography at Stevenson College in Edinburgh. As this was a degree foundation course where only mono film was used, I learnt litle in the way of facts, but much in the way of photographic discipline and under the tutelage of Mike Tracey studied and learned to love and be fascinated by the history of this craft. Acquired orthopaedic issues forced me to quit fishing at the end of 2005 and Assynt Photographics started trading officially in August 2006.
