About the Photographer
Danuta Otfinowski has been photographing people for over two decades. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Time; Business Week; Newsweek; Der Spiegel; Focus; People and Entertainment Weekly. She is the recipient of several awards including a major individual artist fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, two National Society of publication Design awards, and one of the first Imogen Cunningham Awards. She began photographing as a student at the San Francisco Art Institute, earned an MFA at UCSD and moved to NYC in the mid 80's. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Stanford Museum of Art, The San Diego Museum of Art, The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento and The Museum of Photography in Fribourg, Switzerland. In addition to serving editorial, and corporate clients, Danuta Otfinowski is available for private commissions.
