Born in New York City and raised in New England, he spent his formative years traveling through Europe. It was there he developed his continental visual style sense. Influenced by the portrait and fashion works of David Bailey, Scavullo, and Irving Penn, he started photographing people; at first family members and reluctant friends. Upon graduation from prep school, his father, a businessman, influenced him into pursuing a career in the world of science, leading eventually to his obtaining a finance MBA degree. Wanting to explore his artistic side, Jayson enrolled in a program in visual communications. There he was able to study photography and filmmaking; something he’d always wanted. While completing his masters, his portrait photography came to the attention of the publicity department at the American Shakespeare Theatre. Subsequently, Jayson was hired to shoot publicity and stage shots. While at AST he had the opportunity to meet and photograph many celebrities from both stage and screen. These include Lilly Palmer, James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer. His work led to a 1981 commission to shoot Plummer’s portrait. Since then, Jayson has photographed such luminaries as: Paul Newman, Stephanie Zimbalist, Lee Richardson, John Lithgow, Victoria Tennet, Charles Keating, Bob Dylan, ...

There I learned to use the natural light and surroundings to create a frame ("Gorilla Photography") rather than using artificial sources to compose one in. Since traveling is a passion and wanderlust is in my blood, I have captured "Moments In Time" from well over 44 different countries from around the world. I feel learning only really takes place when you involve all of your senses. By traveling one gets a chance to take in cultures more deeply through sound, smell, taste, and touch. Herminio Rodríguez born in Madrid, Spain in 1971. Since his youth Herminio has showed is passion for photography. Working as a young photojournalist during his college year, Herminio gained knowledge and visual strength to apply for a graduate degree. In 1996 Herminio was admitted to the prestigious institution of Rochester Institute of Technology where he obtained with honors his Master in Fine Art degree in Imaging Arts and Science on Photography.

Since his graduation with honors in 1998, Herminio has had the opportunity to work in the academic industry in the most prestigious universities in Puerto Rico in their communications schools. As a full time photography professor, Herminio helped to create new courses and curriculums to create and improve better photographers and techniques in the field.
