Throughout my life I've found that I always have a camera in my hand. Photography has naturally become such a big part of my life that I decided I wanted to share it with others. Every time I look through the viewfinder it's capturing a moment in time, never to be experienced again... I feel blessed to be a part of every moment others share with me.

Caryn B. Davis is a commercial, advertising, editorial, architectural, marine, event, fashion, corporate, portrait and wedding photographer with a studio in Chester, CT. Her photographs have appeared in over 60 leading national and international publications, and have been exhibited in numerous galleries. Caryn is also a writer whose articles have been published in many magazines and newspapers. She is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and teaches photography to adults and children.

Photography is something I have enjoyed doing since high school. I took a course through New York Institute of Photography to help with my skills and have been working at building my business for the past 5 years or so. I was born in New York City in 1963, but grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA.  I have worked professionally on and off since 1990.

I'm currently employed as an Operations Support Specialist for a civilian branch of the US Government, where I've worked for the last fifteen years.  Prior to this, I worked in local Television as a Broadcast Engineer.  I don't do video anymore, so if that's what you're looking for, I can recommend some folks for that.

I also offer Web Design and Hosting Services.  My background in computers dates back to the late 70's.  I also do PC repair.

I hold a degree in Photography and Multimedia Communications.

I’ve devoted myself to Photography, since I knew what a camera could really do, which is capture precious moments in time. I’ve gained a lot of skills within this fine art field, whether it came from College courses, other people’s techniques or just trial an error. Photography to me means visual expression, which is about seeing something, knowing how you want it to look, and making it so. The first time I learned how to take pictures was actually out of a cardboard oatmeal box back in the early 90's. From that moment on photography has made me interact with my surroundings more, be aware of the subject and context as well as the foreground and background. No matter where I am I see objects/people as a work of art, and something I can't get enough of exposing the beauty they portray. The greatest gift is seeing the love I bring in capturing one's family and being able to keep it for years to come.
