William B. Folsom is a professional photographer with over 30 years of experience serving Northern Virginia. He is a specialist in event photography and portraiture: personal portraits, executive portraits, family portraits, engagement and wedding portraits. He is the author of three books on photography: Event Photography Handbook, Butterfly Photographer's Handbook, and Art and Science of Butterfly Photography (all by Amherst Media). He is the resident photographer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia where he teachs photography.

He is an accomplished photographer with over 100 magazine and book covers to his credit as well as hundreds of other published photographs, calendars, advertisements, and other media uses. His collection of stock images exceeds 60,000 images. He is available for assignment in the Northern Virginia area in as part of the JPG Photo Events Team.

Images, when put together artistically, can weave tales of feeling and emotion as bold as the written word. Creating "IMAGES" and "STORIES" that capture one's attention and imagination is my ultimate goal. Photographs should say something unique about a person or situation.
